Fairy tale books

Well hello all...

I have started to read a story called Sylvie and Bruno. Its by Lewis Carol of Alice and Wonderland. I love his stories they are so insightfull and imaginative. Alice in wonderland is my fav. book and movie! But i digress, his way of writing is very weird (which i love) and the story is sort of like the old irish and english folk tales my grandparents used to read to me before i went to bed. Its a very hard read, esspecially for all you non-english folk out there! The language is very different and even just they way they speak is quite hard to undertand.

Anyway its a very good read and i do encourage anyone who hasnt read both the looking glass and wonderland to do so! They are very good! I have read Peter pan in kensington gardens before. Its a great book too. People may think they are childrens books but in no way shape or form are they. Infact i do believe that cinderella and snow white are both very R rated books- the brothers grimm versions. Anyway its nothing like the disney movie! Infact now that i say that i do believe i am going to purchase the peter pan book right now, i feel like reading it.

After reading it though i always wanted to go and see the actuall statue of peter pan in kensington gardens, in London. And ofcourse when my boyfriend and i went we spent hours looking for it and finnaly found it! Here is the picture of me by it. It was so weird coz after reading the book when i was little it has been a dream to go there.

Ummmm...

Ok so i know i am terribly behind on all of my blogs, its so hard to remember to keep up with this thing. I hope alexandra will allow me to make them up after they havent been done for that specific week. Anyway, the buisness is going good, we are starting up a list of perspective clients, set up an email address and a calendar to keep track of both our schedules, now its all down to the phone calls. We are going to be ordering postcards and buisness cards from this place called overnight prints, they are soooo cheap!!!

I have already started reading Hamlet again and its funny because my boyfriend understands none of it! I am enjoying it so far though and i hope that i can read ahead a little bit so i get the full analysis of it during class.

My mums friends from England are coming over today. They stay for about a week so my house is turning into a hotel lol. Its her, her two sons and her husband. I went to school with Chris, her eldest from about 2 years old up until the day i left England. We have never been that close though. He was kind of labeled the class nerd, and when you are labeled something at age 3 or 4 and stay in the same class setting for so long its hard to get away from that. But hes kewl and we have both grown out of that labeling stage now anyway so....One thing i am really looking forward to...is the treats..everytime Juli comes she brings treats from home. Like brown sauce and sweets and my mums favorate tea. We are going to Parrot Jungle Island on wednesday because my boyfriend and i have free tickets all year round and we can get everyone cheaper tickets.

Well thats it for now better be heading off...

I feel as though i am tied to like 50 stings and all of them are tugging at me at once. School is supposed to be priority but i feel like im falling behind so much. Im not at all organized with my work anymore, im lucky if i even remember to do any of my homework. Work is going crazy, they have me working at least 35 hours a week and thats in the sun, not in an office or resteraunt, in the sun, in the pool with kids as young as 6 months old screaming and crying. It takes alot out of you! Anyway i am trying to sit down and get all of my school work done but all i wanna do is sit down, eat some lunch and watch some TV. which i havent done in forever! Well i better get back to work..advice anyone???

Busy Bee

Its amazing how easy it is to let things slip away...like weekly homework and blogging- opps But i will catch up. Alaska was amazing! We got there thursday evening and it snowed the first day and then everyday throughout our weeks vacation. It was amazing how clean and fresh the air was compared to here in Florida. We went to the Zoo on the friday and took Travis' sister Andrea to horse back riding lessons. We went up to Fairbanks on the train which took 12 hours! But it was really fun, we were lucky enough to see a wild wolf attach a herd of mountain sheep- but they got away luckily. When we got up to fairbacnks there was a huge blizzard that we had to drive through to get to Chena Hot Springs resort which was where we would be staying for 3 days. There they had a natural hot spring right out in the open. It was sooo nice and warm there. The last few days we hung out on base. Travis' mom is in the Air Force and that is why she moved over there, but it was so big and nice and safe. We went tubing at the ski mountain on base, which was a ton of fun! Anyway, we have decided to go back there in the summer if i can take the time off work. Terri is going to be sent to Afganistan in January so we would really like to see her before she goes and help her get things ready.

I wish i did...

I feel very alone right now. After high school many people dont keep in touch with many of their friends and it is easy to loose touch. Well not me, I never really made any friends the last two years of my high school because i was too into my relationship with my boyfriend. I am still with Travis and it has been over 3 years now, however things are starting to go downhill. He has moved, we are both changing and, well, things just arent high school anymore. We have decided to not see each other as often and try to take things slow at the moment. I love him more than anything but i have pushed my social life away for far too long. Through no fault of his own, i just didnt keep in touch or even make any friends while we were together. But now i have taken some time to try and hang out with the few i have left and just try to put myself out there for people to see. i am fun and outgoing, but i just havent shown that side of me for just over 3 years now. If anyone has any advice for me i would love it. Because it seems that everyone has their group of friends that they always hang out with or a best friend to confide in, but i dont have that. I wish i did....

For my speech class we have to write speeches on culture. I immediatly choose England for my group because i was born and raised there up until 6 years ago. I still go there once a year and most of my friends and all of my family are over there. It gave me a chance to explain the hardships that we have to face, with money issues to drugs and alcahol poisioning the minds of the young. With role models such as Amy Whinehouse, Kate Moss and Peter Doherty, the teenagers of England are not doing so well. Most of my friends spend every evening in a club or bar either shooting drugs or drinking till they puke. Ofcourse i am not friends with them anymore, and i do have some friends who are clean of all that stuff but it is scary to even think that i could have been there. Future goals mean nothing back home. My cousins are doing so well and are head above the rest of the country just because they are going to college. Hell...even finnishing high school is a big deal. In England the Government decided to step in and try to solve the crisis of having barely any students enrolling into colleges and universities. So they decided to pay every student that stays on at high school till they are 18 60 pounds a week, which is about $80. Its very sad when the kids have to be encouraged to stay on till 18 instead of just being forced to. Anyway, there are alot of problems with my home country and not just on the economic front. You will probably hear me talking alot about England. I still call it my home because i really dont have many friends here and it just not my culture and i have no family here either.
